Fourth family fun day success

Saturday’s gloomy weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the employees, their families and invited guests, who attended our annual “Families Day” event, hosted at our base at Lasham Airfield.

This annual event, now in its fourth year, is a “thank you” to our dedicated and hard-working people for their commitment throughout the year, but it is also to thank their families for their incredible contribution in the support of our workforce as the team puts in the hours to make our successful independent MRO one of the best for narrow-bodied base maintenance, modifications, and repairs.

Around 450 people enjoyed a BBQ lunch and refreshments whilst listening to a live band, as well as fun and games, static displays by visiting supercars, bikes, VW camper vans, and various aircraft, together with our own fire appliances, plus birds of prey, and a thrilling display by The Rockets children’s motorcycle display team.

The event was generously supported by our business partners, and also by several local businesses who kindly donated a selection of raffle prizes.

The event raised in excess of £1300 for our charity partner Aerobility to help them continue their incredible work to give those with disabilities the chance to experience the magic and wonder of flight.
