Procurement and Administration Inspector

We are now recruiting for a Procurement and Administration Inspector to join our team based in Doncaster.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Dealing with the procurement and administration needs within a busy part 145 organisation working in the Capability Development department, which includes using the dedicated software system to raise purchase orders, sales orders, track employees time, produce reports for meetings and record and track approved suppliers. 
  • Liaising with the suppliers on a daily basis for request for quotations, placing orders, chasing delivery dates and dealing with any issues which may arise.  
  • Maintaining supplier and customer relationships.
  • Communicate with engineers, the stores department and the customer, keeping all up to date with any issues or delays in shipping.   
  • Day to day administration tasks such as recording holidays taken by the Capability Development department, tracking the balance of holidays, placing stationary orders, checking and approving invoices for items purchased, dealing with contractors timesheets, running reports weekly /monthly to track orders and for use at meeting, raising driver requests and hotel bookings, when necessary.
  • Arranging shipment of items internationally and domestic for repair and/or purchase.
  • Other general office duties which arise day to day.  

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience within a similar role or environment would be advantageous
  • Ability to prioritize and organise own workload effectively 
  • Able to work well under pressure, ensuring a continued attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Correct cost tracking and communication to the appropriate person if an order is delayed
  • Able to work on own initiative, continually seeking improvements
  • Excellent IT skills, fully competent in full Microsoft Office suite
